BAG PACKING 16th December 2005 The Scout Troop spent an excellent evening at Sainsury's in Staines on Friday 16th December 2005 offering their services to Christmas shoppers by helping to pack their shopping bags. In return for their bag packing the shoppers kindly donated money which will be put towards the 2007 European Summer Camp in Holland. A whopping £400 was raised in just 3 hours. Many thanks to the Scouts and a few of the parents that helped out. A quote from one of the parents, "It was daunting to start with but as time went on the more enjoyable it became, in fact it was quite fun ! thanks to the seasonal goodwill of the shoppers and the whole team" |
